• Due to the raceway geometry and the balls used as rolling elements, deep groove ball bearings can support loads in both directions, as well as radial loads
• Available in standard, C2, C3, C4, C5 clearance fit

Available as Open, Sealed or Shielded

• Open  -  These bearings have no seals or shields to prevent the ingress of contaminating particles entering the raceways, this does however make them particularly useful when fitting in gearboxes or running in oil
• Sealed  -  These bearings have the suffix 2RS indicating they have lip seals on both sides and are pre-filled with grease for life, so no lubrication is required. The seals give some protection against ingress of moisture and contaminating particles entering the raceways, thus increasing the life of the bearing. Some applications require only 1 seal which can easily be removed.
• Shielded  -  These bearings have the suffix 2Z or ZZ indicating they have gap shields on both sides and are pre-filled with grease for life, so no lubrication is required. The shields give some protection against ingress of moisture and contaminating particles entering the raceways, thus increasing the life of the bearing. Some applications require only 1 shield which can easily be removed.
